Robin Rinearson, O.D.

Dr. Rinearson is a 1977 graduate of the Illinois College of Optometry. She has a post-doctoral certificate in developmental and pediatric optometry. She is Board Certified in the use of diagnostic and therapeutic pharmaceuticals. She works with patients with autism, multiple handicapping conditions, learning disabilities, and family eye care. With the introduction of Dr. Perry, she will now specialize in geriatric care, since she will no longer be taking new patients (other than immediate family members of existing patients). She is looking forward to growing older with her current cadre of patients. She enjoys scuba diving and travel, and will continue to work to support these habits!

Dr. Rinearson has previously chaired the Virginia Board of Health Professions, the Virginia Board of Optometry, the Northern Virginia Optometric Society, and the AOA Licensure and Regulation Committee. She has also served on the Virginia Optometric Association, the Council of Optometric Education, and is a Fellow in the Virginia Academy of Optometry. She was awarded Optometrist of the Year in 1989, and in 2007 was given a Lifetime Achievement Award by the VOA.

Christopher Renner, O.D.

Dr. Renner is a graduate of Berry College in Rome, GA and the School of Optometry at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Medical Center. He is interested in the care of children and adults with special visual needs, as well as developmental optometry, contact lenses and family eye care. This includes patients with head trauma, neurological disease and retinal disease in order to maximize visual function. He is certified by the Board of Optometry to use both diagnostic and therapeutic medications. Dr. Renner was honored as the 1993 Vanguard of the Year by the Virginia Optometric Association. He sat on the Medicare Carrier Advisory Committee for over ten years, contributing to the formation of local Medicare policy with our regional carrier. Dr. Renner is a consultant to the Arlington Free Clinic, area nursing and rehabilitation centers, the Virginia and DC Department of Rehabilitative Services, as well as a former consultant to the Arlington Geriatric Clinic. He is a past president of the Northern Virginia Optometric Society. Dr. Renner and three of his children have been involved in Remote Area Medical Volunteer Corps eyecare services and in October, 2009 were featured on NBC News regarding health care reform. He was also featured on WAMU radio regarding the use of electronic medical records. He is an assistant scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America.

Dr. Renner has four children and enjoys running, cycling and soccer, as well as caring for the many family pets.

Robert Warren, O.D.

Dr. Warren is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, VA. and the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. Dr. Warren is a third generation optometrist, who started working in his father's offices making contacts and glasses at the age of twelve. He has been a licensed, practicing optometrist since 1976, when he joined his father's practice. Upon his father's retirement in 1992, he continued a solo practice until joining this office in 1994. He is Board Certified to use diagnostic and therapeutic pharmaceutical agents. For more than 20 years, Dr. Warren was a consultant to the U.S. Navy working to prevent eye injuries for the civilian employees of the Naval Surface Warfare Center. Dr. Warren also provides custom contact lens design and fitting for special needs patients with keratoconus or distorted corneas. Dr. Warren maintains special office equipment to support these needs. He frequently takes referrals from area Ophthalmologists and Optometrists for these patients with special needs.

He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Virginia Optometric Association, and the Northern Virginia Optometric Association. Dr. Warren is a consultant to area nursing and rehabilitation centers, the Virginia Department of Rehabilitation Services, and the Virginia Department of General Relief.

Dr. Warren is married with four children. He enjoys whitewater kayaking, horseback riding, volleyball, and ballroom dancing with his wife.

Dodge Perry, O.D.

Dr. Perry, our newest addition to the practice, began in June of 2008, graduating from James Madison University in 2004, and Illinois College of Optometry (ICO) with honors and immediately joined the practice. A patient of the practice as a very young child, he has gone from hating his glasses, to loving them, to prescribing them for others. Before attending optometry school, he joined the practice and worked as a technician, doing ancillary testing on patients. He returns to the practice with particular interest in contact lenses and working with children. Certified to use both diagnostic and therapeutic pharmacological agents, Dr. Perry looks forward to a long career helping people see better.
